The family of Azzam Azzam, an Israeli Druze citizen who has been in prison for nearly five years in Egypt on charges of espionage, reports they have not been able to visit with him for several weeks. Family members, who travel to Egypt every two weeks to visit him, were informed by prison authorities on their last two attempted visits that he did not wish to see them. Sami Azzam, his brother, told Arutz-7 today that his family is not sure whether Egyptian authorities have adopted a new policy, or whether their brother/son is in fact in an extreme state of psychological ill-health. He called upon Prime Minister Sharon and Foreign Minister Peres to do everything possible to arrange a family visit. \"The government of Israel has been making efforts on his behalf,\" Sami said, \"but the fact is that he is still not with us, after five years.\"
