An Israeli motorist was attacked by terrorist gunfire on the Aboud bypass road near Beit Aryeh in western Binyamin last night; two bullets struck the vehicle, but he was unhurt. Other Palestinian violence included:

* Shooting at IDF post near in southern Gaza and at an army post near Mt. Eval in the Shechem area; soldiers returned fire.

* shooting at Gush Katif outpost, at a car near N\'vei Tzuf, and at a jeep near Kalkilye (east of Raanana).

* gunfire directed towards soldiers from the Arab village of Bituniya, west of Ramallah;

* a bomb detonated against a military vehicle on the Halhoul bypass road north of Hevron.
