* A truck driver is hospitalized after Arabs shot him in the chest late last night outside a Jerusalem-area village; he is listed in moderate condition. Other Palestinian violence last night and this morning included:

* Shooting at an IDF jeep south of Hevron, the Sa-Nur army camp in northern Shomron, and near Efrat.

* Molotov cocktails thrown at Israeli cars near Beit El and Karnei Shomron;

* Shooting at IDF forces near Ofrah, in Hevron, and north of Ramallah.

* Many incidents in Gaza, including two mortar shells into the community of Morag, and firebombs and shooting near Rafiach, Gadid, Yasmin, N\'vei Dekalim, Netzarim, and elsewhere. In only two cases did the IDF return fire.



More anti-Israel Arab violence since late this morning included:

* A stoning north of Jerusalem in which an Israeli man was lightly hurt;

* A Palestinian shooting and grenade attack in southern Gaza, in which a soldier sustained light wounds;

* A bomb that was detonated against an IDF vehicle south of PA-controlled Jenin in northern Shomron - no one was hurt;

* Shooting at soldiers patrolling near the Jewish neighborhood in Hevron, and later into several Jewish neighborhoods there;

* Shooting at an IDF vehicle north of Ramallah and at an IDF base near N\'vei Dekalim;

* Three grenades at an IDF base near Rafiach.

Despite all, the Jewish Agency announced last week that 41,224 new immigrants had arrived in Israel in the past ten months - and that 1,000 of them have chosen to live specifically in Judea, Samaria, and Gaza. A group of 43 Jews from Mexico settled in Kokhav Yaakov-Tel Tzion, in southern Binyamin, several days ago.
