The bank has invested some four million shekels (over $900,000) into the program.
Bank HaPoalim invites all residents of Israel to visit, free of charge, any of the listed sites throughout the Chol HaMoed days of Passover, from next Monday through Friday.
In announcing the program, the bank said it "sees supreme importance in bringing the nation to its heritage and culture, and has therefore decided to enable parents and their children around the country to tour on Passover and enjoy a variety of museums and sites throughout the country, free of charge."
"We believe that the project will aid in enriching the knowledge of children and their parents about Israel, and will be a source of unforgettable enjoyment during the Pesach holiday."
Among the participating sites are:
Israel Museum, Jerusalem
Diaspora Museum, Tel Aviv
Art museums in Ramat Gan, Haifa, Herzliya
National Parks Authority: Yotvata, Nimrod Fortress, Nahal Taninim, Ovdat
Air Force Museum, Be'er Sheva
Merkavot Latrun
Haifa Zoo
Founded in 1921 by the important Zionist organizations of the time in the Land of Israel, Bank HaPoalim now employs 10,000 people in 248 branches, and is the largest bank in Israel.
All Israeli government offices will be closed during the week of Passover, as will the Motor Vehicles Bureau and Employment Offices. Banks and postal offices will be open only in the morning hours.
