The rally, organized by Women in Green, Pastor Jim Vineyard, the Freeman Center for Strategic Studies and others, coincided with a meeting between US President George W. Bush and Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon.

Pastor Vineyard took the podium and addressed the Jews of Israel: “We want to tell you that there is a groundswell movement starting, and we will do everything we can to get the message to all Bible-believing people in America that the only true position that Bible-believing people in the US and around the world can take is that the Land of Israel belongs to the sons of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob - and not the sons of Ishmael, Arafat and Abu Mazen.”

“We are here in Crawford, Texas trying to get our voices heard by Mr. Sharon and Mr. Bush,” Vineyard told the crowd.

MK Benny Elon addressed the audience via a loudspeaker hookup and told them, "You are a source of inspiration for all of us, representing courage and how not to be afraid, as G-d told Joshua when he was about to enter the Land of Israel... Here, [people] have decided to devote themselves to this cause whole-heartedly. Despite the Knesset decision, we refuse to accept the fact that the die has been cast. It is not so! With prayers to G-d, and with activities on the ground, we will go from house to house, family to family, with special movies and the like that we have prepared. Thousands of people will explain to them why this disengagement is so catastrophic, and that this disaster of uprooting Jews in our biblical land could, G-d forbid, be the beginning of the end of the State of Israel. We will not accept it! This is the true voice from Israel."

Elon explained the Bible's relevance to today's events: "I know that you, Christians as well as Jews, know that the word of G-d is not only not against realpolitik; on the contrary. We saw that those stupid politicians who, against the Bible, brought us the Oslo Accords that caused us so much bloodshed. We won't have it again! We know that the only Roadmap is the Bible. We know that we have to warn all those who live in Afula and Beit She'an [near the northern Shomron] and in Ashkelon and Sderot [within range of Gaza] that they will now be in the range of Kassam rockets."

"But we won't let it happen," MK Elon concluded. "We need your support; you are our only strategic ally. With your prayers and your activities, you help G-d to help us. I thank each of you individually for coming. We shall overcome!"

Arutz-7's Ezra HaLevi then called Rev. Vineyard from Israel, and found himself talking to the crowd via the loudspeaker.

The Pastor told HaLevi, “I was interviewed the other night, and the reporter said, Rev. Vineyard, don’t you know that the majority of Israelis are for disengagement?” Vineyard said he then told the Biblical story of the twelve spies, wherein ten out of twelve of the leaders of the Jewish people advised the Jews to refrain from conquering the land, while only two advised them to follow G-d’s directive to enter the land and inherit it. The pastor reminded the audience that “those who followed that majority decision died in the desert and had their bones bleached, while the next generation entered Israel.”

HaLevi told the crowd, via telephone, that in fact the people of Israel are ready to rectify that sin, “but although in our generation ten out of twelve may be ready to inherit the Land of Israel, the other two happen to be the Prime Minister and those who control the media. But fear not, the truth will rise up and we will prevail.”

Rev. Vineyard, pastor of the 3,500-member Windsor Hills Baptist Church in Oklahoma City, told the Los Angeles Times before the rally, "I wish I could be with President Bush for 15 minutes, to stand with him with a Bible and tell him that when he stands before the judgment seat..., he will have to give an answer... why he gave the little Land of Israel to the Arabs."

The demonstrators also demanded that Sharon ask, and Bush agree, to release Jonathan Pollard from prison, where he is serving a life sentence for passing classified information to Israel.
