The Jerusalem College of Technology (JCT) will be offering new fields of study: Medical Engineering, Technology Management and Marketing, and Industrial Engineering and Management. The latter two are being offered as fully-accredited degrees in the coming academic year.
The new degrees will bring engineering students together with management and marketing students, in order to develop business ideas in conjunction with technological innovation. Taking advantage of advancing technologies, the school has several courses on marketing, commerce and customer and supplier relations over the Internet.
The Medical Engineering track, directed by Prof. Yitzchak Leichter, will train engineering students in the development of medical diagnosis systems, evaluation and imaging. Doctors of various Jerusalem medical centers will lecture in some of the courses. As a practical application in their studies, students will prepare a final project attempting to solve research problems, in cooperation with one of the local medical centers.
