Arab countries purchase a wide array of medical supplies and equipment from 24 different Israeli companies. The countries include Jordan, Egypt, Morocco, Saudi Arabia and the Gulf Emirates. US military personnel stationed in Iraq have also put that country on the list.

Overall, Israeli exports of medical equipment are on the rise. Exports rose by 7.2% in 2004 to $1.09 billion and, according to the Israel Export and International Cooperation Institute, will rise by another 5-7% by the end of 2005.

Israel is one of the world’s leaders in medical patents per capita and the Jewish State’s life-science industry is one of the strongest and most advanced worldwide.
