Border policewoman Chani Abramov, who was very seriously wounded by terrorist gunfire on July 30th, is showing signs of improvement. Earlier this week, Chani was taken off the respirator and is now breathing on her own and speaking. Physicians are confident that in the coming weeks, she will be discharged from the hospital and then begin the long road of rehabilitation. Chani remains optimistic and is looking forward to returning to her unit. During the late afternoon hours of July 30th, Chani and two of her partners were shot and wounded by terrorists near Kibbutz Bahan.
