The Indian Navy is planning to buy full-mission submarine simulators from Israel for use in their Navy School. New Delhi and Jerusalem have also begun preliminary talks on the joint manufacture of simulators at Indian facilities. The deal comes in the wake of an agreement signed last month to supply Israeli weapon systems and technologies to India. Israel Aircraft Industries (IAI) will assist in upgrading Indian Air Force planes, including hundreds of MiG-21, MiG-29 and Sukhoi fighters.

In related news, IAI is submitting a joint bid with Russian helicopter manufacturer Kamov to sell Kamov-52 combat helicopters to South Korea. The chopper incorporates Israeli avionics including night-vision systems and other enhanced operating capabilities.
