IDF ground forces shot and killed Mahmud Mahadi as he was placing a roadside bomb near Einav (east of Netanya) last night. Another terrorist was wounded in the incident; he escaped taking refuge in a nearby PLO-controlled area.



Mahadi was an officer at the District Coordinating Office which, according to the Oslo agreements, coordinates joint patrols and other activities between the IDF and Arab paramilitary police aimed at thwarting terrorist attacks.
