A large bomb-attack was averted on Thursday when an Israel Air Force helicopter fired a missile at an explosives-laden vehicle that had been parked overnight in a field near the Jewish community of Kfar Darom in Gaza. Security officials said that the car-bomb was set to kill many Israelis.

Terrorists set gas tanks ablaze in a parking lot of a building in Jerusalem’s Talbieh neighborhood, in the hope of blowing up the structure. The fire was noticed and firefighters extinguished the blaze without injuries, although a number of vehicles were damaged.
Police remained silent for several days even when a preliminary investigation pointed to a terror attack, but after the news was broken by Channel 2 TV News, police acknowledged that it was in fact a terror attack.
