Thousands of youth from all over the country are making their way at this hour (late Friday morning) to Gush Katif, having signed up for the annual Youth Shabbaton weekend. Organizers are preparing for many more than this number, however, in the knowledge gained from previous years that many teenagers arrive unannounced. They will be hosted in homes, schools and "wherever a sleeping bag can be put down" in communities such as Kfar Darom, Rafiach Yam, N'vei Dekalim, Atzmonah, Netzer Hazani and many others.
