- -Menashe Nuriel, the bus driver whose awareness and determination prevented a major bombing yesterday on an Egged bus, will be awarded a Certificate of Recognition by Minister of Transportation Ephraim Sneh for his brave actions. When Nuriel noticed an Arab youth boarding the bus with a highly-suspicious bag (which turned out to be an explosive device), he forcefully pushed him out of the bus and tackled him; two soldiers then pinned down the terrorist. The Egged bus company offered the driver a free vacation, but he preferred to return to work and is back on the job today.



- - A Jewish cemetery in eastern Germany was desecrated this week by anti-Semites. The cemetery is the final resting place of 140 Jews who died shortly after being liberated by American troops from the Bergen Belsen concentration camp.
