Director-General of the Israel Broadcasting Authority (IBA) Uri Porat submitted his letter of resignation after having served in the post for eight years. The IBA Board of Directors planned to remove Porat from his position at its upcoming meeting for mismanagement. Two candidates being considered to replace Porat are Yosef Barel and Shmuel Salvin.
