Israel caught Rami Teikh and two other Hamas terrorists after years of pursuit. The terror chief evaded capture in the past by disguising himself as a woman and changing his residence frequently.

Teikh surrendered after IDF forces shot a missile towards the house in which he was hiding. They later found two automatic rifles and ammunition in the house.

Teikh helped plan the Passover eve attack on the Park Hotel in Netanya two years ago that killed 30 people, including six husband-and-wife couples, and wounded more than 150. He is also responsible for dispatching the terrorist who murdered a father of six in April of this year in the Shomron community of Avnei Hefetz.

IDF sources say Teikh was preparing to dispatch another suicide terrorist to a Netanya hotel, as well as an attack on soldiers at an IDF checkpoint in Tul Karem, just east of Netanya, at the time of his capture.

Army troops near Jenin shot and killed on Friday another armed terrorist, Mahmoud Kamil, as he attempted to flee.

Palestinian Authority prime minister Ahmed Qurei (Abu Ala) condemned the killing of the terrorist as "a clear message that [Israel] does not want to give a chance for calm and the revival of the peace process." Israeli officials said that Israel has often stated that it will hunt down terrorists who are planning attacks.
