An Israeli company has signed a major contract to provide automated gas meter-reading capability to the Atlanta Gas & Light Company. According to the agreement, Nexus Telocation Systems, Ltd., with headquarters in Givatayim, Israel, will provide for the Greater Atlanta area a network of fully-automated meter reading, including a minimum of 1.3 million automated gas meter reading transmitters and base station receivers. NexusData provides wireless wide-area data collection and information management solutions for the utility industry.
