Arab terrorists opened fire last night upon two Israeli vehicles last night northwest of Jerusalem wounding Mark and Michelle Kam from Dolev and their 17-year-old son, Itai. Two persons in the second car were lightly wounded by shrapnel. Officials from Tel Aviv\'s Tel HaShomer Hospital say this morning that the conditions of the injured are improving. Mark underwent two operations and is now listed in moderate condition. His wife Michelle is listed in moderate-to-light condition, also having undergone two surgical procedures. Itai is listed in light condition following surgery. The two persons injured by shrapnel in the second vehicle are being discharged from the hospital this morning.
A Jewish youth in was stabbed in the back last night by an Arab attacker in Petach Tikva. He was lightly injured.
Also last night, twenty three mortar rockets were fired at Jewish homes along Israel\'s southern Mediteranean coast during the night. The Jewish communities targeted were Ganei Tal, N\'vei Dekalim, Morag, Netzarim, Netzer-Hazani and Atzmona. In the same region, an Israeli convoy was attacked by terrorist gunfire on the Karni-Netzarim road. Official sources report that there were more than twenty other shooting attacks and over eighty hand grenades thrown at Israeli targets last night. There were no injuries in any of the attacks.
Elsewhere in the Shomron, terrorists opened fire at the community of Psagot. Soldiers returned fire into the PA autonomous area of el-Bireh. Terrorists also fired at soldiers in the Bituniya area in the western Benjamin Regional Council. There are no reports of injuries in either incident.

A border policeman was lightly wounded in Hevron by terrorist gunfire while inspecting Arab vehicles traveling in the area. A burst of automatic gunfire was fired from Givat Shalhevet (Abu Sneineh hilltop - under PA control) about 500 meters north of K\'vasim Junction, according to the Kol Rina news agency. The policeman was taken to a local medical facility for treatment.
The southern Jerusalem neighborhood of Gilo came under gunfire for several hours last night. There were no reports of injuries, but two apartments and a car were damaged. As a result of the shooting, the Minharot road connecting southern Jerusalem to the Gush Etzion area of Judea was closed for the entire evening, stranding many residents of those areas and resulting in interruptions in public transportation.
