The professional visit was coordinated with the Israel Police Force and organized by the Jewish Agency's "Partnership 2000" project. Kiryat Bialik, near Haifa, is a “sister city” of the Jewish community of Boca Raton.

This past year, Boca Raton hosted a mission from the Kiryat Bialik police force. Last week, the Sheriff of Boca Raton and eight other officers arrived in Kiryat Bialik. The police officers met with the Israel Police Force commanders of the Northern Region and the Zevulun Station, visited several Israel Police Force facilities and an Air Force base, and participated in joint exercises with the officers of the Kiryat Bialik Station and the Northern Region. In their spare time, they also toured other areas of the country.

According to Eshel Fram, the Jewish Agency's manager for the Kiryat Bialik area, the professional ties forged with the Boca Raton police officers are particularly impressive in light of the fact that these officers are not themselves Jewish. Rather, the strong ties that have been formed between the Boca Raton Jewish community and Kiryat Bialik have become a bridge, upon which other representatives of the two communities can come together.
