Highlights of the convention include addresses today by Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, Chief Rabbis Yona Metzger and Shlomo Amar, and U.S. Ambassador to Israel Daniel Kurtzer. On Thursday, outgoing OU President Harvey Blitz will pass the leadership reigns to his successor, Stephen J. Savitsky, during a gala Thanksgiving Dinner.



On the convention agenda are topics of critical importance to North American Jewry, namely, the Israel-Diaspora relationship, and developing local leadership and programs. Participants will hear from Orthodox Jewish thinkers on issues such as:


  • Israel Advocacy

  • Aliyah

  • Twinning Israel-North America Programs

  • Developing the Synagogue as a Center for Family Education

  • the increasing costs of Jewish education,

    and more.
Israeli V.I.P.'s will provide briefings on current events.
