Close to 200 people demonstrated outside the President\'s Home in Jerusalem this morning, asking that President Moshe Katzav pardon Margalit Har-Shefi. The Supreme Court recently rejected her appeal of her conviction of knowing in advance about the plan to murder Yitzchak Rabin, and doing nothing about it. Her supporters held signs reading, \"She didn\'t know!\" and \"Who is Truly Responsible for Rabin\'s Murder?\" Supporters of Margalit are hoping to gather many thousands of signatures on petitions in favor of pardoning her by next week; the organizers say that if there was more time, they would be able to amass hundreds of thousands. Margalit is scheduled to enter prison for nine months in 16 days.
