In a drive-by shooting Monday evening, three Israeli Border Policemen were injured by automatic weapons fire near PLO-controlled Tul Karem, east of Netanya. Terrorists opened fire at the patrol along the Green Line, Israel\'s pre-1967 border with Jordan. The el-Aksa Brigade faction of the Fatah terrorist organization claimed responsibility for the attack.
Border policewoman Chani Abramov, from Netanya, underwent six hours of surgery at the Rabin Medical Center in Petach Tikva and is listed in serious/stable condition. Rashad Amir Aznaye, from Rahat, is listed in moderate condition following surgery in Hadera\'s Hillel Yafeh Hospital. A third victim, border policeman Ahid Hasson from Dalyat el-Carmel, was lightly wounded.
