Israeli Armed forces Sunday evening killed two terrorists after a two-day Arab barrage of mortar shells on Gush Katif. One Kfar Darom resident was seriously injured as he stood outside the community synagogue, which suffered damage.
As the Army looked for other terrorists in the area, Kfar Darom residents demanded the government allow the IDF to respond as it did after similar attacks on Sderot.
"It's a nightly thing. There is no spot in the town that hasn't been hit yet,” said town spokesman Asher Mivtzari. “The soldiers are of course doing everything they should, but the proper orders have not been given. When Sderot was hit, the Army undertook a major offensive in northern Gaza to get rid of the Kassam launchers, and this was good for Sderot and for the rest of the country.”
Several shells also hit Netzarim, causing damage to buildings and cars, and in Katif, Morag, Ganei Tal and Neve Dekalim.
In northern Samaria, IDF soldiers killed one terrorist, wounded another and captured five more during a battle in Jenin. The terrorists had opened fire on the IDF soldiers, who then returned fire.
In a separate incident in the same area, Nahal troops caught a 17-tear-old Arab woman who intended to carry out a suicide bombing.
