Marina Solodkin, whose Yisrael B'Aliyah faction (comprising her, Minister Sharansky and MK Yuli Edelstein) joined the Likud after the last election: "I am proud to vote today for Prime Minister Sharon's disengagement plan... If the terrorists will resume rocket attacks on Ashkelon, where I live, then in my opinion we will easily be able to respond forcefully and even with air attacks, without endangering our soldiers..."

Menachem Porush (United Torah Judaism) quoted the decision of the Agudat Yisrael Torah Sages Council of 1937: "Every concession of parts of the Land of Israel has no value the borders were determined by the Creator."

MK David Tal, of the Am Echad faction of the Labor Party, had been planning to vote in favor of the plan, but following Rabbi Ovadiah Yosef's categorical ruling in favor of a "nay" vote, is reconsidering. Tal laid out the pros and cons, noted that it was a very hard decision, and said that he had not yet made up his mind.

MK Michael Nudelman (National Union) explained why he is bucking his own party and will vote in favor of the withdrawal.

MK Ophir Pines (Labor) praised Nudelman for his stand.

MK Zahava Gal'on (Meretz-Yachad): "We will vote in favor of the plan, but let this not be misconstrued: We are not in favor of Prime Minister Sharon's government; this is a bad government! And the disengagement plan is not perfect we would have preferred that it be done with dialogue with the Palestinians; but because it presents a great precedent for the West Bank, and because its the first time that a Prime Minister has said that he will evacuate Jewish communities and withdraw from territory, we will support it. ... I call on the settlers to accept the verdict, and leave."
