The apparently final and total number of Israeli victims in the Sinai bombings is 12, including nine killed in Taba and three in Ras A-Sutan:
* Tzila Niv, 43, and her two sons, Gilad, 11, and Lior, 3, of Rakefet in the Galilee. They are survived by husband/father Zohar, who was wounded, and twin daughters/sisters Sharon and Yael, 18.
* Oleg Pazakov, 32, and his wife Ludmila, 30, of Bat Yam, survived by two sons, aged 9 and 3.
* Assaf Greenvald, 27, Ramat Gan - killed when he briefly entered the Taba Hilton
* His friend Rotem Moriah, 27, of Tel Aviv
* Halil Zeitouna, 10, Jaffa
* Hafez Hafi, 39, Lod
* Einat Naor, 27, from Kibbutz Zikkim, just north of Gaza
* Michal Alexander, 27, Ganei Tikvah, a secretary in the Prime Minister's Office
* Ro'i Aviasaf, 28, Kfar Saba. The last three were killed in Ras A-Sutan.
The funerals of Michal Alexander, Assaf Greenvald, and Rotem Moriah will be held this afternoon. Tzila Niv and her sons will be buried together tomorrow.
Six Egyptians, four Russians, two Italian sisters and another several unidentified people - presumed to be Russian tourists - were also killed in the Taba Hilton blast. The search for survivors in the rubble ended yesterday afternoon. Valery Segal of Ashdod, whose name was originally listed among the victims, actually died of a heart attack in Taba shortly before the terror assault.
It is now widely assumed that a "sleeper cell" of Al-Qaeda was responsible for the attacks. The London-based, Saudi-backed Al-Hayat newspaper reported today that a group calling itself the Martyr Abdullah Azzam Brigades, a branch of Al-Qaeda, claimed responsibility for the double attack in Sinai. The Egyptian authorities reported that they had arrested a number of Bedouin on suspicion of involvement in the attacks. Egypt even announced that one man had admitted selling explosives to the terrorists, thinking they were to be used for an attack in Israel.
