Three more Kassams were fired towards the western Negev this morning, with two exploding in the city of Sderot. One Palestinian-fired rocket exploded at the entrance to the city, and one five minutes later near a house, causing damage and sending five people to the hospital in shock.
No fewer than 14 Kassam rockets have been fired at the small city of Sderot in the past week. Five people were treated for shock following yesterday's attack as well. Sderot Mayor Eli Moyal said yesterday, "If the price is the erasure of [the PA-controlled city of] Beit Hanoun [from where most of the Kassams are fired], then that's what has to be done."
"If this would happen in a normal country," Moyal continued, "such as France, Russia, the U.S. or somewhere else, they would have long ago wiped out Beit Hanoun. I'm not looking for the destruction of Beit Hanoun, all I want is quiet. It can't be that every morning, at almost a set time, these rockets will fall on us. There has to be a strong military response, not just an attack on an arms-workshop or the killing of a friend of Khaled Meshal [in Damascus]."
Arutz-7's Kobi Finkler reports that two terrorists were eliminated today near the Kisufim entrance to Gaza and Gush Katif; they had been holding an explosive device.
