According to a report based on information from "Palestinian press sources," the Hamas organization's online outlet, the Palestinian Information Center (PIC), reported this week that "Zionist occupation troops would train members of the Iraqi army in Zionist military camps located in the middle of the 1948 occupied Palestinian lands."
According to the "Palestinian press sources," who were themselves quoting "Zionist sources," 280 Iraqi army soldiers were selected "by Iraqi and American officers and were also subjected to intensive tests at the US security headquarters...." Their training, according to the same sources, is to begin in October.
The PIC reported that "Zionist army experts would be entrusted with training [the Iraqis] on combating terrorism and on means of assassination and arrests." The newly Zionist-trained Iraqi forces "would be tasked, following the end of their drills, with thwarting the Iraqi resistance attacks on the coalition troops that have been occupying Iraq since the former Iraqi president Saddam Hussein was deposed on 9th April, 2003."
