Following the wounding of Israeli civilians both in and out of the Gaza Strip in rocket and mortar attacks over the past two days, the IDF took the familiar step yesterday of dividing the Gaza Strip into three sections - and then canceled the measure this morning. The division was made to prevent movement of Arab terrorists and transporting of weaponry throughout the Gaza Strip. This morning, following a review of the situation last night, the military decided to remove the newly placed checkpoints.
Arab terrorists fired three rockets at Gush Katif targets since last night: a Kassam rocket that caused damage to a home in N'vei Dekalim, an anti-tank shell that exploded on the industrial zone wall in N'vei Dekalim, and a mortar shell in the area of Gadid. No one was hurt.
