Two of the hunted terrorists known to have been loose in the city were captured last night. With the three terrorists now in custody, security services believe, a major terrorist attack in the capital was averted.

Among the injured were six border policemen, three of whom remain in serious and very serious condition at Jerusalem's Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital.
The IDF soldier wounded in the head by enemy sniper fire in southern Gaza yesterday remains in very serious condition at the Soroka Medical Center in Be'er Sheva. The shooting took place during a military operation to locate and eliminate weapons-smuggling tunnels operated by Palestinian Authority terrorists along the Egypt-Israel border. Six buildings connected with smuggling were demolished. The Islamic Jihad terror organization released a statement claiming responsibility for the attack.
And the terrorists' war against Israel continues. In the Gaza region, enemy gunmen fired at soldiers during the night near the community of Nisanit... Anti-tank rockets were fired at IDF troops near the Jewish towns of Gadid and Netzarim. IN Bethlehem, soldiers were targeted in firebomb and rock attacks near Rachel's Tomb. And in Samaria, Arab attackers fired at an IDF position in the community of Kadim, as well as at soldiers operating in Kabatia, west of Jenin. There were no injuries reported in any of the above incidents.
Arab attacks on Israeli civilians also continued over the past day. A burning tire rigged with a pipe bomb was placed in the road near the Shomron Jewish community of Talmon. Soldiers detonated the device without incident... Arabs threw rocks at Israeli drivers in the area of El-Khader, on the Tunnel Highway in the Gush Etzion area of Judea. There were no injuries, although there were reports of damage.
Security forces operating in Judea and Samaria during the night arrested fourteen Palestinian Authority residents suspected of terrorist activities. Arrests were made in Kalkilye, near Ramallah, near Bethlehem and in El-Khader. Suspects in custody include Fatah Tanzim and Hamas terrorists... In Gaza during the night, soldiers apprehended three PA residents in the area of Gush Katif. The three are suspected of involvement in terrorist activities. They were turned over to Shin Bet custody... A PA resident wanted for questioning by security authorities was apprehended on Thursday evening in the area of the Karnei-Netzarim road in Gaza.
