The Israeli who was killed yesterday by a Palestinian terrorist bomb in a taxi van on the Wadi Ara highway was Claude Knopp, 29, of Tiberias. A seeing-eye dog trainer, he is survived by his parents and two brothers, and will be buried in Tiberias this afternoon. The security forces had advance word that the terrorist who had placed an explosive in a Tel Aviv kiosk on Wednesday - it was detonated by police sappers, and no one was hurt - had another bomb ready for exploding, and was on his way north with it. At a police roadblock at the Mei Ami junction, between Hadera and Afula, when a policeman asked for the terrorist\'s identity papers, the Palestinian detonated the bomb.

The condition of a woman from Afula who was severely wounded improved over the night, and another girl from a nearby kibbutz is in moderate condition.
