One or more major terrorist attacks were thwarted today in Haifa today, with the help of intelligence warnings and efficient police work in the field. After high-level intelligence warnings were received, police closed many roads in the northern coastal city in turn, searching for the terrorists and/or their explosives. In the course of the day, several bombs were found, including a powerful one only 100 meters from where an explosive-laden motorcycle was found last month; they were safely detonated by police sappers. Police Chief Shlomo Aharonishki says that additional bombs are being sought. Some of the information on the incident is still classified, but may be released for publication as early as tonight.
