Government coalition negotiations continue, chiefly between the Likud and Labor, and the Likud and United Torah Judaism. Leaders of the anti-religious Shinui party continue to receive flak from some of their supporters, and chiefly from political opponents such as Meretz-Yachad, regarding their decision yesterday to agree to consider sitting with a hareidi party in a future government.

Three Shinui MKs object to their party's decision. MK Yigal Yasinov told Arutz-7 today, "We are an ideological party, and our ideology is different than that of the hareidim. For one thing, I want the 'couples pact' [civil marriage] law to be passed; after it's passed, we can sit together... I also cannot sit with Meretz, because I am right-wing; I also cannot sit with the Arab parties, because I am a Zionist... We were not elected to make sure that the disengagement comes about - but rather for other issues; if we want to support the disengagement, we can do so as part of the opposition."
