The spring session of the Knesset comes to an end tomorrow, and Prime Minister Sharon has survived it, despite several consecutive weeks of no-confidence motions. There's no rest for the weary, however. Although the accepted custom in the Knesset has traditionally been that no-confidence motions are not submitted during Knesset recesses, Speaker Ruby Rivlin announced yesterday that he sees no reason to perpetuate this practice. This means that Sharon will not be able to enjoy the comforts of a summer break, and might continue facing threats to topple his regime.
