Known as the Rambam, Rabbi Moshe son of Maimon was a religious scholar, physician, philosopher and writer who lived from 1135 to 1204.



Arutz-7's Kobi Finkler reports that the doctors, who are coming to Israel from cities all across France on a special Tourism Ministry project to advance tourism here, will be met by Tourism Minister Gideon Ezra and Ministry Director-General Aharon Domb.



The doctors will attend a medical conference dealing with dentistry and general

medicine, and, thanks to Tourism Ministry encouragement, will be touring Israel as well. In fact, the Ministry promoted the conference in order to encourage the doctors to tour Israel following the event.



According to Ministry of Tourism statistics, 100,229 visitors from France arrived in the first six months of this year - a 71% increase from last year and 93% more than in 2002.
