Amar Abu Suta, a Fatah terrorist commander, was killed this afternoon in an Israeli missile strike in Rafiah. Another terrorist was killed with him in the southern Gaza operation.
The strike occurred shortly before 2 PM, when Israel Air Force helicopters fired missiles at a car seen to be carrying armed terrorists. The two dead terrorists belonged to the Abu Rish faction of Yasser Arafat's Fatah gang. Abu Suta was involved in the killing of three IDF soldiers in 1992, and he and his dead colleague were both active in placing bombs against Israeli targets in Gaza.
In Tul Karem, east of Netanya, a leading Islamic Jihad terrorist was killed in a battle with IDF forces today. The soldiers were on a terrorist-catching mission, when they encountered several armed terrorists who opened fire towards them. No soldiers were hurt.
West of Ramallah, IDF forces last night destroyed the home of Tzalah Mussa, who was involved in the Cafe Hillel attack in Jerusalem of September 2003. Seven people were killed in that attack, including Dr. David Appelbaum, 51, and his daughter Nava, 20, who was to be married the next night.
