Just a few minutes after yesterday's human chain began to disband, an anti-tank missile from the PLO-controlled areas in Gaza scored a direct hit on a youth club in Gaza's largest Jewish community, N'vei Dekalim. A group of children were playing outside, and a 10-year-old boy was seriously wounded in his face; five others were lightly hurt. The 10-year-old underwent surgery last night and is listed in stable condition in Soroka Medical Center in Be'er Sheva.
Later in the evening, an Arab-fired mortar shell slammed into the roof of a N'vei Dekalim home. There were no injuries.
Earlier in the day, five Kassam rockets were fired towards Nisanit, the northern Gaza town from where the human chain began. Yet another Kassam landed in the area of the Ashkelon Coast Regional Council; no damage was caused in these incidents.
In Tul Karem, east of Netanya, a special Border Guard force killed five Arab terrorists, including several on their way to a terror attack. Intelligence on the five, including the local Tanzim leader and other top Islamic Jihad and Al-Aqsa Brigades terrorists, was received pinpointing their whereabouts at a local restaurant. The special force quickly arrived on the scene, opened fire, and killed the five. A bystander was also killed.
Another attempt to kill a leading terrorist, this time in Gaza City, did not succeed, as the target was not home at the time. His house, however, was destroyed by a missile.
