An IDF force discovered a large explosive device this morning near the Netzarim junction in Gaza. Army sappers safely blew it up. Arabs lobbed anti-tank grenades at an IDF outpost near Gadid in southern Gaza, and other explosives were hurled at an IDF force in Rafiach. No one was hurt. Two Arabs attacked a Jewish man in Gilo this afternoon; he is hospitalized in moderate condition. Two Arabs in Gilo stabbed a 21-year-old woman in a similar attack late last night; she sustained minor wounds, and the assailants fled to the nearby Arab neighborhood of Beit Tsafafa. Palestinians also attacked various other Israeli targets in Yesha last night.

The IDF\'s Southern Command will soon place a special traffic light at the Netzarim junction that will allow Jewish traffic safe, unrestricted passage. As of now, IDF jeeps block Arab traffic every time a Jewish convoy passes by. The new light has a sensor that will guarantee a green light for Jewish cars, so that they need not wait like \'sitting ducks\' at a red light. Netzarim community sources said, however, that they are skeptical about the new system\'s workability.

A woman was slightly injured when Arabs shot at a Jewish group in Hevron\'s ancient Jewish cemetery yesterday evening. She was accompanying a group of young women who have been volunteering in Hevron for the past two weeks. The women are associated with the Chabad movement, and have been working with Hevron\'s children as well as renovating and cleaning the cemetery near Tel Rumeida (Admot Yeshai). Israeli troops accompanying the group immediately returned fire, and Arafat\'s forces then commenced heavy shooting at Israeli positions and Jewish houses; at least one house was hit. Shooting continued throughout the night. This morning an Israeli soldier was also lightly injured by a ricocheting bullet in Hevron.

Two groups from the United States visited Hevron yesterday: a group of 20 rabbis from the Rabbinic Association of America, and then a group of 100 people organized by the One Israel Fund.
