A shipment of clothing brought to the Ayalon Prison in a Red Cross truck this week was found to contain a cellular telephone, intended for one of the terrorists held in the facility. The telephone was found in the sole of a sneaker.

Red Cross officials explain that their organization is only the courier, and is not responsible for materials to be delivered prior to its reception at the Red Cross. Israeli officials report that this is the second time a Red Cross shipment was found to contain prohibited items intended for prisoners.
