Cities of Israel, a multi-chapter grassroots organization working on behalf of Judea and Samaria and related causes, reports a setback of sorts: Its postcard campaign has encountered a form of sabotage within the Postal Authority. Hundreds of postcards sent from around the country urge Prime Minister Sharon to recapture the Abu Sneineh Hills in Hevron and thus put an end to the non-stop shooting attacks onto the Jewish neighborhoods below. \"Unfortunately,\" reports spokesperson Susie Dym, \"the Postal Authority has been returning these postcards to senders, instead of delivering them to the Prime Minister\'s Office. We have written directly to Communications Minister Ruby Rivlin, explaining the problem and requesting his assistance... We will continue to urge these public figures to respect their constituencies and extra-parliamentary groups, just as Israel\'s left-wing politicians do.\"
Dym also reported that last Thursday, a delegation of 30 Haifa residents visited the small, beleaguered Yesha community of Chomesh, which has lost two of its number in terrorist attacks in recent weeks and another man in a car accident. The Haifa contingent camped out on a lawn for the night, \"to experience local conditions - including the background noise of gunfire - to the fullest.\"
