Amidst a continuing flurry of \"hot\" intelligence warnings of impending terrorist attacks, three such attempts took place this afternoon: Palestinian shooting at a car on the Trans-Israel highway; an explosive in Tel Aviv that was discovered by a policeman; and a bomb at the Mechola Junction in the Jordan Valley. This last bomb was connected to a cellular phone detonator, and was safely dismantled by army sappers. In addition, Border Guard police were attacked by gunfire in Hevron early in the afternoon, and there were other reports of sporadic terrorist gunfire during the afternoon there.

Earlier today, Palestinians attacked a military jeep near Beit Haggai, south of Hevron. Last night, Arabs fired two mortar shells towards Gush Katif communities, one at Morag and one at Netzer Hazani. Other attacks on Israeli targets last night included an anti-tank grenade, and three smaller ones, towards soldiers near Netzer Hazani; grenades at an army post near Rafiach; firing on Israeli army buildings in Gush Katif; shooting at an IDF checkpoint in southern Jerusalem\'s Har Homa neighborhood; and several shooting attacks throughout Judea and Samaria.
