Two terrorists killed themselves very early this morning in southern Jerusalem while preparing a bomb, which they apparently wished to place in or near Teddy Stadium. The Maccabiah Games officially open tonight with a gala ceremony at the stadium. The terrorists, residents of Bethlehem, were found dead near the southern Jerusalem neighborhood of Biet Tzafafa. The Maccabiah Games, the largest Jewish sporting event in the world, will host some 3,000 athletes, two-thirds of whom are from the Diaspora. Police and the GSS remain on a heightened state of alert, and intelligence reports continue to stream in regarding terrorist efforts to perpetrate an attack at this time.
