An old/new type of demonstration is being held on behalf of Jonathan Pollard today. Supporters and sympathizers are being asked to call the U.S. Embassy in Tel Aviv (03-519-7575), demanding that Pollard be freed. Organizers hope the response will be in the thousands, thereby making a major impact - or worse - on consular lines.



Similar actions were taken several decades ago when activists bombarded Russian Embassy phone lines demanding freedom for Soviet Jewry.
