"I'm optimistic. G-d's salvation can come in the blink of an eye," said Elisheva Federman this afternoon. She was speaking with Arutz-7's Yosef Meiri early this afternoon as she was about to enter a Jerusalem courtroom for a hearing on the continued incarceration of her husband Noam.
Noam Federman has been held in administrative detention without charges for eight months. Three weeks ago, the State Prosecution announced that it was dropping all charges against him in the case known as the Bat Ayin conspiracy. It stated, however, that other suspicions against him still remained, and that he must therefore stay in prison.
Federman did not accept this, and appealed his continued incarceration to the Supreme Court. Justice Ayala Procaccia in fact ruled that the Jerusalem District Court must hold another hearing to reconsider the evidence against Federman, in light of the dropping of the Bat Ayin charges against him. Neither Federman nor his lawyer has been permitted to see the stated evidence against him.
Elisheva said, "I'm optimistic, but you can never know. With G-d's help, it will be OK. I ask only that everyone pray for him."
Elisheva will be a guest on Israel National Radio's Tovia Singer Show Tuesday night at 10 PM (EDT). At that time, access the show live at IsraelNationalRadio.com .
