The entire student body of the Chaya Aydel Seminary, Florida's only Jewish Women's Teachers' College, is due to arrive in Israel at the beginning of June.

Most of the 22 young women, studying in Hallandale Beach, are going on Birthright Israel, a program that enables young men and women, ages 18-26, who have never visited Israel, to visit, tour and learn about the Holy Land, free of charge. Although most girls in the college qualify for Birthright Israel, a number of girls, aged 17 and too young to qualify, are still going on the trip - thanks to funds being raised in the local community.

Rabbi Raphael Tennenhaus, dean of the Seminary and executive Vice President of Chabad of South Broward, explains that the school was determined that no girls be left behind.

"All the girls are eager to go, all the parents are gladly giving permission, and the school's efforts will ensure that the day after graduation, our students will embark on their first ever trip to Israel", Rabbi Tennenhaus remarked.

Rabbi Yossy Lebovics, Principal of the Seminary, says that fear of terror is the last thing on the students' minds.

"First and foremost, these young women, who have studied in depth all about the many Biblical sights that they will visit, are proud to visit the land which is promised and given to the Jewish people in the Bible. Secondly, they are humbled to show solidarity with the people of Israel who have endured terror after terror attack, and they feel that their visit will strengthen and boost the morale of their brothers and sisters in the Holy Land," Rabbi Lebovics concluded.
