It was released for publication yesterday that a major Palestinian terrorist attack at or near a synagogue in the Meah She'arim quarter of Jerusalem had been thwarted. The attack was to have taken place two days ago by a suicide terrorist from Shechem. Arutz-7's Kobi Finkler reports that the terrorist was captured after the Shabak (General Security Service) arrested an Arab youth from the Old City of Jerusalem, who led the agents to his two accomplices, including the would-be murderer. Their 20-kilogram explosive, which was found and safely detonated, had been smuggled into Jerusalem inside a vegetable cart.
