For the first time, Palestinian-launched Kassam rockets have landed near Kibbutz Yad Mordechai, north of Gaza and on the route to Ashkelon. Nine such rockets were fired last night from northern Gaza at Israeli towns, and six of them were directed at Yad Mordechai. The first volley of three Kassams, at around 6:30 PM, landed in an open field near the Kibbutz, while a second burst, at 8 PM, landed further south of the Kibbutz. Several Kassam rockets were also fired at the city of Sderot, east of northern Gaza. No one was hurt in these attacks.
The rocket attacks resumed this morning, with one missile landing south of Sderot near Kibbutz Nachal Oz; no one was hurt. At the same time, the terrorists fired four mortar shells at Jewish towns in Gush Katif, in southern Gaza; a house was lightly damaged, and no one was hurt.
