Another terrorist murder has come to light as the investigation of the French Hill terrorist cell continues.
In the course of investigating an independent terror cell that was found to be responsible for at least two previous terror attacks, the police found that the terrorists had perpetrated an attack over a year ago that at first was not even categorized as a terrorist attack. It occurred on March 14, 2003, when David Mordechai, 57, and his son Menahem, 25, both of Be'er Sheva, were shot and seriously wounded as they parked their car in the Musrara area of Jerusalem. Police found them bleeding on the ground, unable to call for help. David died of his wounds a year later, while Menachem remains paralyzed.
The killers were members of the cell that "mistakenly" killed George Khoury, an Arab, on March 21, 2004; they explained afterwards that they had meant to murder a Jew. They also shot and wounded another Jew in a northern Jerusalem neighborhood in April 2004.
