Israeli security forces continue their arrest of Palestinian terrorist elements. Three brothers and another relative, members of the Popular Front, were arrested last night in a village near Tul Karem. Five more suspects were arrested in the Bethlehem area; they admitted having attacked Jewish traffic on the Tunnels Highway to Gush Etzion. Several others were arrested in the past few days. Also this week, five PA residents found residing in a caravan home in Ra\'anana were arrested; they had presented their employer with forged documents they purchased for NIS 2,500. One of the illegal residents had been sentenced in the past to two life sentences by an Israeli court; he was set free several years ago as part of Israel\'s fulfillment of the Oslo Accords.
The IDF expressed regret over an incident yesterday in which a Bedouin woman was killed by IDF gunfire. It began when a commercial vehicle arrived at an IDF roadblock south of Hevron, yet did not stop even after soldiers indicated that it should do so. An IDF vehicle close by took off in pursuit, and almost overtook it after a few minutes. At that point, the truck swerved to the roadside, but continued to ignore the soldiers\' attempts to stop it. The soldiers then fired in the air, then towards the tires, in accordance with standard arrest procedures. The woman was killed by these shots. An initial IDF inquiry indicates that the soldiers acted according to procedures.
