The Palestinian Authority's war against Israel continued unabated over the weekend, albeit on a relatively low flame, with most security incidents taking place in Gaza. Security forces also registered several successes over the past two days.



Arab terrorists fired anti-tank missiles at the Jewish town of N'vei Dekalim and Gan-Or today... Early yesterday (Saturday), Arabs fired a missile at an IDF patrol near the Karni-Netzarim route in northern Gaza. This morning, a truck was damaged in a similar rocket attack in the area of the Karni Crossing, separating pre-1967 Israel from Gaza... Another anti-tank rocket was launched at an armored IDF vehicle in southern Gush Katif…. In Shechem, IDF forces came under attack by Arab gunmen in two separate incidents, and a bomb was thrown at an IDF patrol in a third…. An IDF base in the area of Tul Karem, east of Netanya, was the target of Arab gunfire…. No injuries were reported in any of the foregoing attacks.



In Akraba, in the Shechem district, two armed wanted suspects were taken into custody and a third was killed in a shootout with soldiers. Also in Shechem, an undercover Border Guard unit captured a wanted Hamas terrorist. Four PA residents suspected of terrorist activities were arrested by IDF soldiers during the night south of Jenin, and three other wanted terrorists were arrested in the Bethlehem area.



Binyamin District police in the southern Shomron arrested three Arab youths on suspicion of having taking part in anti-fence violence. Two of the suspects have confessed to the charges against them. Police are indicating that additional arrests are expected. Arab and far-left protestors have injured police in their attempts to disrupt construction of the counter-terrorism barrier currently under construction.
