Doctors in Soroka Hospital in Be\'er Sheva are fighting to save the life of an IDF soldier who was seriously wounded in the battle last night near Rafiach. He was hit in the head with shrapnel when Arafat\'s Force 17 soldiers attempted to prevent the army from destroying buildings used by Palestinian snipers. The soldiers stormed the southern Gaza border outpost, wounded four Arab fighters, and took the equipment that was there. A second Israeli soldier was moderately wounded, and a third is in light condition.



Another roadside explosive was discovered late this morning on the road between Kedumim and Shavei Shomron, west of Shechem. IDF sappers are still engaged in dismantling it.
