A 53-year-old farmer from Kfar Saba was murdered yesterday in an apparent terrorist attack within the Green Line - i.e., the pre-1967 borders of Israel. His body was discovered in his orchard outside Moshav Hagor, a few kilometers east of Hod HaSharon. Police originally thought that he had died in a work accident, but closer examination revealed bullet wounds.
Three Israelis were wounded - including one woman in serious condition - when Palestinian terrorists shot at them shortly after 4 PM today. The attack occurred between the north-Jerusalem industrial zone of Atarot and the Ofer army base, south of Ramallah. It is not yet known if it was a drive-by shooting, or an ambush by attackers hiding by the side of the road. The woman was shot twice in the chest; the two others were hurt from fragments.
A similar attack this afternoon near Tulkarm miraculously produced no injuries. Palestinians shot at a passing Israeli car, but although bullets hit the car, no one was hurt. Within pre-1967 Israel, a group of Palestinians attacked and robbed an Israeli meat-seller. Palestinian violence continued in Gaza this afternoon, as well: A grenade was thrown at an army outpost near Rafiach, and shots were fired near Gadid and N\'ve Dekalim; no one was hurt.
